Horror Film Festival

The horror film festival campaign involved designing for a three-day movie event held in local theaters in Sacramento, California. Meant to attract horror movie fans from a local and broader range to attend this annual event. Going through a conceptual process in order to narrow down to the final design. This campaign is meant to showcase the terrifying characteristics of the event and attract a 17+ crowd. Developing a cohesive visual system that is derived from the initial poster design and creating different artifacts to help build anticipation as it leads to the event.

Merchandise

When creating the merchandise for the film festival, I considered items that can be purchased to leave a lasting impression to the attending audience. I mocked up concepts for a hoodie, souvenir beverage cup, popcorn scooper, and tote bags. In this area, I hand sculpted the beverage cup topper and the popcorn scooper with air dry clay and painted it with acrylic. I carved out linoleum blocks to create a block print of the face and popcorn skull on the tote bags.
